KINO’s BIOGRAPHY

11984367_10206025998063698_1626137703_oWith a love for theatrics and a passion for writing, Kino McFarland began building a career of storytelling through word and film at a young age. She was a valued member of her high school’s drama club’s stage crew and later went on to perform at The Ohio Renaissance Festival as a street character.

The sideshow bug bit Kino at the Renaissance Festival and she began performing with the Pickled Brothers Circus and FreakShow Deluxe as Hannah Bel. Her skills as a glass walker, escape artist, and more have allowed her to perform with bands such as the Insane Clown Posse and GWAR. While traveling with sideshows, Kino refined her writing skills with Full Sail University.

Kino writes primarily dark subjects with a hint of comedy, which can be attributed to her experience with vaudevillian performers and showmen. Vampires, witches, and ghosts are some of her most beloved subjects, as are the many people and personalities that she has encountered while traveling the country. She firmly believes that only an oblivious person can write a boring character. The best characters are all around us.

Her film credits range from being a Production Assistant and Behind the Scenes 14324403_948113625315423_8639260397204137314_oPhotographer to directing and writing her own films, such as Hangry, The Beasts of the Earth (winner of Best Sound Design at the Seattle 48 Hour Film Horror Project), and Declawed (2nd place winner at Cine-City). She is currently working on a webseries called Kino’s Asylum for iHorror.com’s Youtube channel in which she discusses the horror genre as her horror host personality, Kino B. Demented. She has dedicated her life to horror and can often be found with the Crypticon Ghoul Girls in Seattle, Washington.

Swamp Music Players

Fox plays another song from the Swamp Music Players—a dark tale of Atlanta called The Street Sweeper. Can you decipher his truth? He’s the street sweeper, baby, and he’s going to sweep these streets clean.

Swamp Music Players is a retro-futuristic swamp band playing Swamp Blues, Swamp Rock, Swamp Pop and Cosmic Americana. Swamp genres is at the root of Rock’N’Roll, Country and the Blues. We are a Canada and Netherlands campus-charting band with FM radio airplay in several countries and deep social media penetration. SMP had jumped into the escape pod somewhere in the 1980’s and only just returned to push forward this music. Dark and atmospheric swamp tunes, southern flavor all merging with retro cinematic elements that may remind you of some late night movie soundtrack you half remembered.

The Usual Banter

clownsT. Fox Dunham in their usual banter tells his true story about how while kayaking in Cape May, NJ last weekend, his boat sank, and he was nearly entombed in the mud. They also feature another edition of Clown News to report the latest rash of psychological attacks and clown sightings from #clowns along the American east coast. The clowns are coming. Recent reports say that they arrested a man dressed as a clown as one of the gang from the woods, but don’t believe it. It’s just a copy-cat. More on this and other clown reports on Clown News, part of What Are You Afraid Of? Horror & Paranormal Podcast

One Death At A Time by Soren James

They end the show with a diabolical tale brought to them from Perpetual Motion Machine Publishing. One Death at a Time tells the story of a frustrated Satan dealing with an infuriating new soul in Hell. Written by Soren James.

The Devil frowned, and began irritably shouting, “What on Earth are you talking about? Have you no conception of who I am? I could kick-start the apocalypse in your arse if I wanted. I could…What are you doing? You can’t walk away from me!” He turned to his cohorts. “Famine! Bring her back here.” One Death at a Time

Soren James is a writer and visual artist who recreates himself on a daily basis from the materials at his disposal, continuing to do so in an upbeat manner until one day he will sumptuously throw his drained materials aside and resume stillness without asking why.
